KBÜ Students’ Artificial Intelligence Project on Autonomous Aerial Systems Accepted at SAYZEK

Karabük University Software Engineering students’ thesis project on autonomous aerial systems has been accepted within the scope of the 2025–2026 SAYZEK Academic Thesis Program; the studies will be carried out under the mentorship of ASELSAN


The graduation thesis project titled “Advanced Image Processing-Based Threat Detection and Avoidance for Autonomous Aerial Systems,” prepared by Mustafa Kale and Eren Altun, 4th-year students of the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Karabük University (KBÜ), has achieved a significant success. 

The project, prepared under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Caner Özcan, Head of the Software Engineering Department at KBÜ, has been accepted for the 2025–2026 term within the scope of the Defense Industry Artificial Intelligence Talent Cluster (SAYZEK) Academic Thesis Program conducted by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB).
