To monitor and coordinate the faculty’s MÜDEK activities.

To review and provide opinions on relevant items on the agendas of departmental Academic Boards in terms of curriculum compliance.

To follow the ongoing educational activities in the departments from a curriculum perspective.

To inform the Department Curriculum Commissions of the requirements needed to align departmental curricula with MÜDEK criteria.

To assess the proximity of the curriculum to international standards to ensure it remains up to date.

To communicate with external stakeholders and evaluate and provide opinions on new courses and activities to be included in the curriculum.

To guide the work areas of other commissions in line with MÜDEK expectations.

To coordinate the preparation of documents and materials to be submitted to the MÜDEK Evaluation Team.

To carry out accreditation procedures.

To coordinate the preparation of unit self-assessment reports within the scope of MÜDEK.

To organize all necessary actions within the department under MÜDEK and issue required notifications.

To organize MÜDEK departmental visits.

To carry out necessary activities and make decisions to address deficiencies or weaknesses indicated in MÜDEK Evaluation Team reports.

To establish sub-commissions and assign tasks when necessary, and provide information in Faculty Board meetings regarding relevant matters.

To ensure that Bologna process activities are fully implemented on behalf of the faculty, request and follow up on necessary actions at the department and relevant unit levels.

To develop principles and recommendations for compliance with the Bologna process, provide accurate inputs in line with quality standards to achieve process objectives, and identify, prepare, and have prepared the necessary documents and guides.

To provide information on the Bologna process when required and, if necessary, organize training seminars with the participation of authorized personnel from the University IT Department and Bologna Coordination Office.

To ensure, in cooperation with the Student Affairs Directorate, University IT Department, and University Bologna Coordination Office, that the Bologna data entry for all faculty academic units is completed and verified.

To create facilitating sub-groups from relevant departments when necessary to ensure effective implementation of the above duties at the faculty level, and to assign faculty academic and administrative staff to Bologna process activities.

To plan duties in accordance with the established work schedule and determine priorities.

To be accountable to the Dean’s Office for the fulfillment of the duties mentioned above.
