The Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences was established in accordance with the decision published in the Official Gazette dated July 13, 2025, numbered 10073, to respond to the needs of the digital age and play a leading role in technological transformation.
With a strong academic faculty of over 20 qualified faculty members, an innovative educational approach, and an interdisciplinary research culture, our faculty aims to cultivate the competent individuals needed by the information society. In today's rapidly evolving world of technology, we offer a pioneering educational environment that prepares students for the future by equipping them with the knowledge and skills required by the current era.
As of 2025, our Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences hosts a dynamic and multicultural educational community. A total of 2,357 undergraduate students are studying at our faculty, of which 965 are international students. This diversity creates a rich academic environment where talents from different cultures come together to produce joint projects while providing our students with a global perspective.
Located within Karabük University, our faculty makes significant contributions to the development of Karabük in the fields of technology and innovation. With our modern laboratories and up-to-date software and hardware infrastructure, we offer our students the opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge into practice. We provide comprehensive educational programs to students who wish to specialize in future career fields such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and computer engineering.
Through our industry collaborations and internship programs, our students have the opportunity to become familiar with the business world and expand their career networks before graduation. Our students, who participate in national and international projects in the field of information technologies, reinforce their academic achievements by solving real-world problems.
With its continuously growing student capacity and increasing number of international students, our faculty is making steady progress toward becoming the region's leading information technology education center.
